Tables
Research America, Inc. uses the software StatXP to create tables of data to send to clients. A table
cross-tabulates answers from the interviewing process, using banners, and creates a variety of frequency
reports. A banner is the "definition" used to cross-tabulate certain questions. For example, a table
can tell how many republicans believe a certain issue is a major problem or the percentage of those between
the ages of 25 and 34 who listen to a certain radio station. As long as the question was asked in the
interviewing process, a banner can be defined to cross-tabulate the data. Once the tables are created,
they are printed out and either faxed or shipped to the client for their scrutinization.
